Cost analysis of the first Human Milk Bank in Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children

 

Objective: 

The specific objective of this study is to estimate and analyze the cost of the first Human Milk Bank in Vietnam at Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children, including total cost, start-up cost and running cost.

 

Methods:

  • Costing method: Activity-based costing ingredients (ABC-I) approach, combining activity-based costing and ingredients methods
  • Cost perspective: from the perspectives of the services provision agencies (including both the Human Milk Bank project, Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children and other stakeholders.
  • Types of costs included: In this study, we include different types of costs classified by: Phase of implementation; Nature of costs: Both capital and recurrent cost items will be identified; Function of costs; Scope of cost

 

Research site:

The study site is Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children.
