The research "Status of health and quality of life of the people of Chi Linh, Hai Duong 2016 and some related factors"

From April, 2016 to December, 2016, the Centre for Population Health Sciences - Hanoi University of Public Health conducted the study " Status of health and quality of life of the people of Chi Linh, Hai Duong 2016 and some related factors " in 7 communes / wards of CHILILAB, Chi Linh, Hai Duong province.

 

Objectives

  1. To estimate the mortality rate of the population in Chi Linh district in 2016.
  2. To estimate the prevalence of symptoms of acute and chronic diseases of Chi Linh district residents in 2016.
  3. To estimate the percentage of people with diabetes in the 30-69 age range in Chi Linh district in 2016.
  4. To describe the real quality of life of elderly people in Chi Linh district in 2016.
  5. To describe the current situation of developing certain risk factors of NCDs, including smoking, alcohol abuse among people of Chi Linh district in 2016.
  6. To describe the actual use of health care services and spending on health care services of people of Chi Linh district in 2016.
  7. To describe the actual use of health media channels and health care services of people in Chi Linh district in 2016.
  8. To describe the current situation of animal husbandry and agricultural activities associated with people’s health in Chi Linh District in 2016

 

Research design:

This community survey uses cross-sectional study design.

 

Research timeframe: 

From April, 2016 to December, 2016

 

Place:

7 communes /wards of CHILILAB, Chi Linh, Hai Duong province

 

Sample size:

Expected sample size of about 6,000 households with 23,000 people.

Data collectors training & toolkit pretest will take place in early 6/2016.

Data collection activity is expected to last from 7/2016 until the end of 9/2016.
