From 10 to 12 July, 2018, the meeting among Dr. Kent Buse, the policy analyst of UNAIDS, and the researchers of CPHS was held in Hanoi University of Public Health, North Tu Liem district, Hanoi. This activity belonged to a critical path of the research collaboration project titled “Analysing the policy and governance environment for NCD control and identifying potential policy options” funded by Medical Research Council (MRC) and coordinated by University College London (UCL) from 2017 to 2019.
The meeting aimed to update the invited expert on findings of the policy content analysis within the first year of the project and to discuss the next steps for the policy process analysis phase. The attendants included:
After the meeting, Dr. Kent Buse along with the research team conducted some interviews with stakeholders related to NCD prevention and control policies in Vietnam to understand more about the context and current progress of some policy issues on sugar, salt, and transfat consumption.
