Data collection of research “Willingness to pay for a Quality Adjusted Life Year of stage IIIb/IV non-small cell lung cancer patient”

 

From 20th July to 15th October, 2018, the Center for Population Health Sciences, Hanoi University of Public Health cooperates with Vietnam Health Economics Association to conduct a research "Willingness to pay for a Quality Adjusted Life Year of stage IIIb/IV non-small cell lung cancer patient”.

 

General objectives:

Provide scientific evidence to health policy makers and health insurance providers to evaluate the payment ability of patients with stage IIIb/IV non-small cell lung cancer.

 

Specific objectives:

  • To estimate willingness to pay (WTP) for a Quality Adjusted Life Year of stage IIIb / IV non-small cell lung cancer patients in some hospitals in Vietnam in 2018.
  • To analyze factors related to willingness to pay for a Quality Adjusted Life Year among study subjects.

 

Research sites:

The study was conducted in a number of central and city hospitals eligible for stage IIIb / IV non-small cell lung cancer treatment in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City:

  • Bach Mai Hospital - The Nuclear Medicine and Oncology center.
  • National Cancer Hospital
  • Hanoi Oncology Hospital
  • Da Nang Oncology Hospital
  • HCMC Medical and Pharmacy University Hospital.

 

Methodology:

Cross-sectional study. Quantitative survey.
