From 20^th July to 15^th October, 2018, the Center for Population Health Sciences, Hanoi University of Public Health cooperates with Vietnam Health Economics Association to conduct a research "Willingness to pay for a Quality Adjusted Life Year of stage IIIb/IV non-small cell lung cancer patient”.

 

General objectives:

Provide scientific evidence to health policy makers and health insurance providers to evaluate the payment ability of patients with stage IIIb/IV non-small cell lung cancer.

 

Specific objectives:

• To estimate willingness to pay (WTP) for a Quality Adjusted Life Year of stage IIIb / IV non-small cell lung cancer patients in some hospitals in Vietnam in 2018.
• To analyze factors related to willingness to pay for a Quality Adjusted Life Year among study subjects.

 

Research sites:

The study was conducted in a number of central and city hospitals eligible for stage IIIb / IV non-small cell lung cancer treatment in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City:

• Bach Mai Hospital - The Nuclear Medicine and Oncology center.
• National Cancer Hospital
• Hanoi Oncology Hospital
• Da Nang Oncology Hospital
• HCMC Medical and Pharmacy University Hospital.

 

Methodology:

Cross-sectional study. Quantitative survey.
