Tobacco control Data Repository

 

Objectives:

 

In order to develop a database on tobacco control research and evaluation in Vietnam, the project is carried out with specific objectives including:

• Review and summary findings from researches and evaluations of tobacco control programs in Vietnam
• Classify the results of research and evaluation of tobacco control programs in Vietnam according to the World Health Organization (WHO) MPOWER packages.
• Develop a comprehensive data repository of tobacco control in Vietnam

05 months (March – July, 2017)

Methodology:

 

Objective 1: To review and synthesize the researches and evaluations of tobacco control programs in Vietnam

•  A review of literature on tobacco control and treatment has been conducted in Vietnam
• Contact with organizations and individuals in the field of tobacco control and treatment to list the researches and evaluations published and not yet published.

 

Objective 2: Classify findings from researches and evaluations of tobacco control programs in Vietnam according to the World Health Organization (WHO) MPOWER.

• Developing matrix of data and data collection forms for analysis and summary (according to the World Health Organization's MPOWER package and M & E framework for tobacco control)
• Aggregating research results and assessments into corresponding indicators (in timeline).

 

Objective 3: Develop a comprehensive data repository of tobacco control in Vietnam

• Refer to TCDR database - Tobacco Control Data Repository of the World Health Organization and some other countries such as New Zealand, Canada, Australia …
• Completing the database of TLs in Vietnam with relevant research data on TLs are disseminated and categorized by category.
