Surveys for Urban Equity: getting, and using, the data to respond to NCDs in urban areas
Center for Population Health Science, Hanoi University of Public Health is conducting research "Surveys for Urban Equity: getting, and using, the data to respond to NCDs in urban areas" from April 2017 to September 2019.
Objectives:
- Establish and strengthen collaborations to share expertise and build capabilities on survey design, data visualisation and use of data to address urban inequities through workshops and training materials.
- Adapt, in close collaboration with decision-makers in Bangladesh, Nepal and Vietnam, existing questionnaire surveys to enhance understanding of injuries and mental health among urban populations.
- Identify appropriate measures of health inequities within urban household surveys.
- Assess the extent of data use in planning and management processes and practices.
- Engage closely with municipalities to develop data visualisation tools.
- Pilot and cost our novel sampling, mapping and enumeration methods
Duration:
From April 2017 to September 2019.
Methodology:
This is a cross-sectional study, using mix-methods (qualitative and quantitative research).

Hanoi City.
